Swapping Bezels on a DateJust?

Hello all. I recently obtained a 116200 DJ and would like to swap out a dome bezel to a fluted 18K bezel. Is this hard to do? Can a local watchmaker change this out easily if I can find the part? Will WG bezels from earlier models such as 16234 fit on the 116200? I know they are made for 36MM but I'm thinking due to 116200 having bigger looking cases, it will not fit. Any advices and comments will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I see that. Would you like to tell me how it can be done?

Domed bezels do look great, so do the fluted, love them both. I'm pretty sure a competent watchmaker would be able to do it no problem as long as you are able to get the replacement bezel you want.

You'd struggle to do it officially through the Rolex service network, changing the bezel changes the reference number of the watch, which they really don't like

That's pretty interesting information there.

It was tough to find. But a snap for my watchmaker because it was genuine, and brand new.

I was told by my AD that they will not change the bezel. Period. :(
