It is possible that the personal object of someone can carry their negative energy so to speak. The only way to find out is to seek somebody out that specializes in these things and see what they say.You could also sell the watch and see if things go back to how they were. My 2 Cents

Anybody who says a watch is bringing them bad luck or bad karma needs to seek help - its ridiculous!!
Just wear the watch and enjoy it. It is one of the lamest excuses to hear somebody has or will sell their watch because of reasons like this. |

Maybe u can say it's superstition, but I always trust on it, when u feel something wrong with it, sell it out immediately or even never wear it again.

That a watch would have bad 'karma' and make bad things happen is complete nonsense.
However, if you think it has bad karma... that might be enough to generate bad things. So get rid of it... or realize its just a watch. |

What craziness! But if it is giving you so much trouble then you should exchange or sell it!

Nobody can prove anything one way or the other. If you have bad feelings about the watch, sell it.

I thought I was the only that wondered...
I'm not a superstitious person but I do have a strange story: A few years ago, while on vacation, I traded watches with a good friend who has never had much luck in life. My first day back at work, I was surprised to find out that my position was being phased out. I was unemployed for 6 months and had several interviews that went nowhere. I hadn't been unemployed for this long since college, 15 years! I was joking to my friend about it and he told me that during that same time, things were going extraordinary for him. Not long after, I got a call from a recruiter about a new opportunity so before my first interview, I fedexed my friend's watch back to him and asked him to return mine. Within 2 weeks, I had the offer in hand. |

Well, Rob, as of late I have stopped wearing my ss gmtIIc for the same thing. It's not that my luck has been as bad as your's, but things have not been going smoothly.
Tuesday I started wearing my DSSD daily, and this week went smoothly and quite quickly. I don't really attribute bad luck to the watch, but why risk it? Maybe the gmt gods are mad at me because of all the scratches I've put on it. |

Don't blame the watch. It's you. Get things right in your life. Be still, and see what's going on around you as of late. I work in a area of life that has "evil"24/7 all around it. Once your around it you start to feel it. Call, it Karma, laws of the universe, bad luck, whatever, it's not your watch. Some people have a "sixth" sense and this is a way of "life" knocking on your door so to speak. Also, the the watch may be trying to warn you. You just didn't listen. Take the opposite side of the prism and look at it that way. Not just a "bad luck" mentality.

Some of the worst catastrophes of my life have been followed by opportunities I could have never dreamed possible.
I don't think that your watch is trying to tell you anything, but one's mindset is a key component of turning bad luck into opportunity.

Maybe it doesn't like being associated with a person who would willingly buy a stolen Rolex.

Here's an old post I never read re-surfacing. I didn't realize this, however, until I came across a comment from JJ. It feels like he's still here. That's kind of nice.

My Dad died suddenly a few months ago. He died while wearing the Rolex Date that I gave him. When I was talking to his girlfriend shortly after his death I asked her to make sure that the Rolex did not go to the coroner's office with him. Being ex law enforcement I know that things have dissapeared before from family members. She had her daughter take it off of his wrist before he was transported.
I got the watch back and wore it at his funeral and for about a week after. My whole wrist became inflamed. It felt hot, was really uncomfortable and caused scratches on my wrist like a cat had done it. I could seriously feel some very bad energy on the watch. I told my girlfriend about it and she understood and said that we need to take it to a temple and have it blessed. It is at the RSC right now for a complete service, but before it goes back on my wrist it will be blessed by a monk at a local temple. I believe. |
