The Beatles of course did the cover to "Twist and Shout" but I think theirs is the definitive version.
Also, although none can deny Chuck Berry's talent, I think John Lennon sang the better "Rock and Roll Music." John had some inner demons to fight from time to time, and as I understand it was not a particularly happy person, but when I hear him sing that song, or watch the Beatles' video of the song (they are performing it) John conveys that he is happy and having a rollicking great time. |
