Icon14 Older Refinished Dials

Were the older refinished dials done better than todays dials?

I used to use a company in Redoak texas that did the refinish for Rolex and they were as good as new dials but got so busy they finally couldn't handle the volume and closed. Real shame a lot of talent there. Rikki

I've used Kirk in Georgia for non Rolex models and they do 'OK' work for the price but they're not exceptional. Kirk Rich in Southern California I've used for a Rolex refinish and found them to be exceptional. They're not cheap, but I couldn't tell the difference and I don't think anyone but Rolex could.

They claim to have refinished dials for the former Beverly Hills RSC. I couldn't prove that claim, but if true, I understand why. They even go so far as to push the dial markers and logo crown out of their tiny holes before refinishing and the lume dots with super luminova were nicely placed. The stenciling of the test looked perfect to me as well, even under the loupe. I did not ask for a dial color change, opting for the same blue dial with YG markers.

I would not hesitate to use them again. The job took about 4 weeks from send off to return.
