1st Rolex......I got a pre-owned 1968 mfr. serial# 5513 as a gift from my parents when I graduated university in 1972.......a year later, 1973, I bought a brand new 1655 Ex2.
Unfortunately the 5513 was stolen, but I still have the 1655.

168000 (9.37 one of the very first triple zeros) Sub in Oct 1987; still wear it daily. In fact, at one point it went 14 years w/o ever stopping as I never took it off long enough for to wind down!
Was offered a 16800 (matte) and a 1680 for less money (I paid $1250 for mine) but I wanted the "new" one with the "cool" gold surrounds and glossy dial (ughhh). The mistakes one makes in their 20s :o) ...Roger |

My first was a 1968 DJ, enjoyed it for a while then moved backwards in time into a big bubbleback.
Next, well, it hasn't happened yet, it will. Cheers Richard |

Well bought my first Rolex in 1987, it was new at the time, i think it considered vintage now. Can not remember to model but it is a GMT Master TT w/jubilee bracelet and yes I still have it. It is running great and is one classy watch.
