You know I was in a similar situation 2 months ago. Went to several AD's and was basically told either I hadn't spent enough money with them yet, or I had to wait two years.

Imagine the looks on their faces when I returned a month later to purchase a gift for my wife with a SS Daytona on my wrist bought from a trusted TRF seller.

I saved time and money, both important resources to me.

Perhaps you could sell your watch on TRF and then purchase from one of the trusted folks on TRF as well, may take a bit longer, but certainly shorter than the SS Daytona waiting lists at AD's.

Up.

2 months ago I couldn't find SS Daytona in SF. AD said I have to be VIP customers and waiting time is at least 6 months.

Feel like getting bnib as Daytona from AD is not easy even you are VIP. Getting one from trusted seller here is much easier IMO.

I was told two to three years waiting list on the SS at AD's, but after doing security for the store got an SS in for me two days later. In New Mexico it's who you know.

They are here on the forum- and not that hard to source. I've had 3 come through my hands, and this was when they were ever "tougher" to find. They are out there- don't settle for TT if it's not what you want! Buy one here and have it next day!!!

Was at an exclusive customer event of our biggest Dutch AD yesterday. All items on display were available for direct sales including both dial versions of the new ExplII and two dial versions of the SS Daytona - and they did not get sold!!!!! A gold version with the ceramic bezel did get sold I saw. Very nice event next time I will allocate the money in advance so I can pick up a Daytona!

Talked a bit with the guy who does the purchasing for the AD he did not expect a price raise this year but eary next year around Feb.

The Daytona is starting to be relatively cheap compared to the new ExplII in my personal opinion......
