I'm thinking a different copper composition and or method in the newer rg/everose.

I would agree with Jeremy above.....I have never heard of it fading over time.

I'm pretty sure yours hasent faded. I think the new ones use some kind of platinum in the everose.

They use platinum in the everose, which Effectively binds the copper to stop fading as far as I am aware anyway. I've also heard it stops the trouble with chlorine and gold

Does anyone know if "the formula" has changed over the years for Rolex RG?

I've heard many times that Rolex recently changed the formula for their everrose. I don't know how or when exactly, but have been told repeatedly that it is different than the everrose from a few years ago.

I spoke with an AD and indeed learned that the more recent ones have a slight different shade.

So maybe mine would match up well agains ones from several years ago

Maybe it's like a recipe and they build some big batch that lasts a long production run, and that no two batches turn out identical.

I shouldn't go into my pool with my TT 116613 ?

The chlorine might change the color ? I never read about this. This could be a life altering experience with me. This has to be a myth, or is it. This should be submitted to the myth busters guys for their TV show to see if it's true. Someone should offer up their TT for this experiment.

You are good with your 116613, in TT I own a 116231, 116713, 16623 and besides the stretched bracelet on my 116231 I have had no worries with the color fading on any of my TT models... Similar situation with my 116718 no discoloration, issues or fading whatsoever...

You should be fine with your TT basically the chlorine reacts with the copper and nickel in gold and can cause colour change in the gold. This normally occurs in gold with low gold content and high nickel and copper content e.g 9kt gold. As it is 18kt gold in the Rolex models and the everose gold etc you should have no trouble. It's called chlorine stress I believe have a look on the internet if you're interested

No, everose is a Rolex trade name for their mixture for rose gold. It does not fade.

Yes the old models do fade. I purchased a day date in everose and raised a thread about the last letter on the model number 118235F. Spoke to Rolex in St James Square in UK and was told the F is the latest addition and spec change in Everose gold as the old one had fade issues!

Yikes. Maybe mine will look like yellow gold in a few years then.
Is it called patina I hope it still has good value
