According to the guy I spoke to at Rolex HQ, any watches which have their crowns perfectly lined up are faulty and should be returned to the secret address which he gave me immediatley for repair.

So if you would like me to send them back for you please PM me and I will give you my address.

Congrats. Your is, like, the 2nd or 3rd that lined up right.

You'd think that they could simply figure out a thread count to get this to work out the way it should. Crowns, before milling and threading, could simply be arranged in a manner that they get held in said position, and then get threaded "correctly".

Oh well, who cares anyway? I don't look at the side of my watch to tell the time.

Wow that's collectable. You know when the crown faces down it looks like an octopus (hole as the head and spikes as the tentacles), which I believe they live in a deep sea as the Sub does.

Hmm?

Seems to me the crown on my SS Sub Date and your TT Sub Date are pointing exactly the same direction:

(sorry about the pic quality, just took it, and it's late here in Denmark).

That's how you tell a real one...The quality control is so good that they will always line up.

Anything else is an indication of a fake.

Non of my SS models line up perfectly. Except for my TT blue sub, TT new style GMT II, TT datejust. Just wonderling if they put more attention to the more expensive models.

You are lucky Robb. Mine does not. It used to bother me but not as much any more. It does seem like for the price Rolex charges they could make this happen on all watches.

Neither my old sub or my newer DD are straight up. So it doesn't seem to matter age or price.

Just checked mine. Only my SS/WG Diamond Dial DJ is lined up correctly. Guess its only fitting with it being so elegant.

Mine is close, about the 11 o'clock position...I will try tightening it the rest of the way with some pliers tomorrow.
