I've been fortunate enough to be able to own two Rolex watches. Of the two, a SubC LV and my SeaDweller, I must admit I like my SD the best. The history, the heft, the clean look. I find my SD to be (IMHO) to be the perfect Rolex. I was attracted to Rolex by the DSSD but found it too large for my wrist. The SD is perfect and I'm sad that Rolex has discontinued this fantastic engineering marvel. Who's with me? Can we get a petition together to implore Rolex to continue production of this wonderful timepiece?

I am totally with you. The SD is my favorite Rolex diver. Classic case dimensions that I love, clean face without the cyclops, yet still has a much needed date, and just the perfect amount of wrist feel.

I have been wearing my GMT II for about a week now.... reading this post, I'm going to put away and put on my SD and wear it for awhile.

I can remember being able to purchase a fine watch for the 1st time. I went to the rolex website and looked at all of the models. I choose the Sea Dweller as at that time to me was the nicest, affordable, and did not have that cyclops.

In all reality, The Sea Dweller was the 1st Rolex to lure me. Not only into Rolex, but into Watches in general.

I have never tried one on or seen one in person. But I did buy one this month. :) I will first lay eyes on it in a few months.

SD is the perfect Rolex sports watch, not the flashiest or most valuable, just the best.

If you LOVE ROLEX, then every guy/gal needs to have a Sea-Dweller. Period.

Engineering, looks, heft, history, etc. etc. I love my Z with no lug holes, but love the classic models with them.

The DSSD, Sub-C, and a Daytona would round out the collection perfectly.

WHY??? Isn't NO MORE PRODUCTION a good thing for the SD owners?
