Perfectly natural in my opinion and I would be surprised if any member hadn't felt the same at one time or another. I think it's just a case of wearing and enjoying it and getting on with life as usual.

That concern will naturally diminish, as it does with anything shiny and new and as others have mentioned, you always have Rolex to fall back on if you do really prang it.......

That does make sense. I know the odd person who has so much money that their purchases don't mean a great deal - consequently everything gets beaten up on record time. I can't imagine having so little respect for a fine watch/good car. I won't be having another watch for a few years so I'll really take care of this one. And given the cost, it wouldn't be worth owning if I didn't get my money's worth and wear it lots! Which I promise I will!

Start wearing it so you can start enjoying it.

Little dings may happen, but the great thing is that those dings can be polished out.

Happens to the best of us. Wear and Enjoy but we all have been there. I actually think I scratch the PCL of my watches more with the polishing cloth than the actual wearing of them

LinD, Remember why you bought it to begin with. You loved your previous Rolex and wore it everyday. Treat this one the same way and before you know it you'll love it as much as your first one.

Thank you all SO much for helping me over a silly crisis. Had I not posted this, there's every chance the thing would still be in its box!

I've worn it all day today, and I've enjoyed it. I do have a slight scratch on the clasp. I think I can live with that!

I must say the midsize is notably heavier than the 26mm, it has a real presence. Now I'll just wait for some dork to ask me if it's fake ..... I hate it when that happens.
