Tiger Woods WON!!

Looks like Tiger is back on the Prowl. Did anyone see the interview after the game? Looks like out with TAG and in with Rolex.

Rolex made him an official ambassador a few weeks back.

He wore a Datejust II at the Frys.com open in Oct. I'm sure he'll do the rounds with several pieces, though the DSSD may have an effect on his swing...

We had the thread a couple of months ago on Tiger and many members were essentially saying Tiger was washed up. Doesn't look like that now! He's back!

While I applaud his victory, winning a post season event with only a field of 18 hardly warrants saying "he's back". Let him win a major next year and we'll talk.

THERE IT IS!!!!! Totally agree Doc. All these Tiger lovers (OK, I'll call them fans) are so excited, I don't blame them for that. I certainly understand supporting your team, or player that you follow, but to suggest he's back and will win like the "old" Tiger is just... a bit premature.

It signals a return to consistent rounds and more importantly playing well on Sunday. He's still the top talent on the tour and confirmations of his demise may have been a bit premature. I agree this wasn't a Masters field he was facing, however many of the so called "young-guns" were there. He willed that win, he's still not a 100% but the fire does seem to be back.

Well there you have it! Hey, if this win showed to you that he has is old fire back, and is destined to win majors next year, and you're a fan, then more power to you! I personally find the man disgusting, and hope for his demise on all levels, but a lot has been said about that AND LOCKED on this forum, so we will LEAVE THE REASONS FOR MY DISGUST ALONE But Marc, if you're a fan, and support him to win every event, then I'm happy for your optimism from his victory; here's to you

I COMPLETELY understand and agree with not supporting Tiger, his actions have been reprehensible and I agree he is not a quality person for what he did to his family.

But as far as his pure talent and mental toughness I find him fascinating. I'm not perfect, I hate Kobe Bryant as well but there is no one tougher on the BB court with the game on the line. I idolize the kind of mental toughness it takes to be that "locked-in" that excellent with so much on the line. It's a power I don't posses and I like watching others that do. Doesn't meant I don't recognize their short comings, just means I'm a fan of their athletic talent, nothing more. As citizens they can take a flying leap!

It's all good though, I have no issue with anyone pointing out his scummy-ness you're right to do so, he is scummy!!

But just in case this does flame out of control LOL IBTL

Well said my friend, and I surely can't deny he's an incredible golf talent.

Now, just in case it does start flaming (I'm done here by the way, MODS! It's NOT MY FAULT!!! )

Well said and I agree 100%.
Tiger is like the NY Yankees or Notre Dame Football: you either love those teams or hate them. However, you still watch them, just for different reasons (to win or to lose). I think it's the same with Tiger and the ratings seem to prove that point. Ratings go up when he plays and they go way up when he is in contention. He's good for the game.
IBTL.

Limited field, really not too impressive. He was spraying everything off the tee. If you want to gain a little perspective, read John Feinstein's article in the new Golf Digest. It will give you a little insight into Tiger, the athlete that very few people have a clue about at all. Obviously, I'm not a big fan, for a multitude of reasons.

Which edition? I googled it but found many hits. I'm a fan of Feinstein's work and I'd like to hear his thoughts.
