Green Submariner availability

HI All.

So I've never bought an expensive watch before. I went in to look at Tourneau's in King of Prussia, PA. The AD says the green SubC cannot be ordered and if I ever find one I should buy it right on the spot because they are so exceedingly rare - in other words pay exactly what the AD wants.

I don't mind waiting for a watch and I certainly want the chance to negotiate the price a bit. Is this AD blowing smoke?

Maine Cat.

If you really are looking for one contact one of the sellers here on TRF and you`ll find out how rare they are within a short time.

It is not "exceedingly rare," but is is certainly not the most common Rolex either. Your best bet is to buy it for a nice discount from one of the trusted sellers on the forum.

I agree; I don't see them as often in the AD showcases, but they can be easily had through the trusted sellers here

They are awesome watches, but no, not rare. I know of two sitting in the cases right now in Northen VA... and the one AD offered a slight discount as he was unware I bought a new one via TRF.

they are supposedly a limited edition and i received the same information from my AD. however, after further experiences with them, i have found another.

you can find tons and tons on ebay. both new and used. the sellers tend to try and get a premium, but it does not appear to be working.

The AD in Naperville, Illinois has one in their showcase.

The AD in Orland Park, Illinois didn't have one in their showcase but offered to sell me "the one in the vault" after I purchased a DDII.

Regular production Rolex and in every AD I have been to as of late. Not a problem finding one anywhere... At AD, on line, here at TRF... You get the picture.

I would find a new AD

Limited edition? Hardly so. However, i do believe there are fewer LV's than LN's. YMMV.

They are a regular production item. Any reputable Authorized Dealer should be able to order one for you..

Don't expect to get much off the suggested retail price though

Around here the SS GMT IIc is much rarer than the LV Sub, but even it's readily available.

The only new "buy it if you can find it (and if they'll sell it to you)" Rolex I know of is the SS Daytona.

The AD is overexaggerating. They are not that hard to find at all. I actually know of a dealer in PA that has one currently. PM me if you need their contact information.
