Is the 14060M rare?
I recall reading something that it is quite rare. I noticed that it is still in the new catalogue.. Why?

not rare, its available at the AD. Hope they change they do only those to it at basel 2012 : the easy link bracelet, add the parachrom bleu thing and the same shock absorbers that are found in the explorer 214270. and maybe modify the lugs size and shape. but dont turn it ceramic pls

Not rare, but my AD said it's not a big seller (for them at least).

its your last chance to bag a genuine tool watch by Rolex. If it goes maxi and ceramic in the future, the purists will be upset.

I'm incredibly happy with mine...glad I picked it up before any changes are made to it. It's an iconic watch...why change it if it's perfect as it is?

I have seen one in every AD's case I have ever been to. I think everyone should own one in their rotation.

Padi touched on that when referencing dial/bezel uniqueness sometimes excites collectors. If you're looking for a Sub, the 14060M is a great choice.

rare, where? (now repeat it fast 5 times!)
No, what I mean is in rare in public or rare at an AD? If you think you wil make $$ off of it, well you gotta wait anther lifetime for it. At an AD, most models I amseeing are ceramics -- the classic steel insert type models are disappearing slowly --- In public though, I have seen more 16610 than 14060 --- In my entire life, Ihave seen countless sub dates but only 2, 14060ms .... It is a tough watch to sell though beccause most buyers are looking for date function... |
