will a dial from a 16200 fit a 1601??

I'm no expert, but a 1601 is the old non-quickset Datejust. Newer quickset and/or sapphire crystal Rolex probably won't be a fit.

The 1601 is a pie pan style and the newer is flat, also the feet on the back are at different positions for the different movements. So, no.
