Perhaps you can clarify something for a lot of us here on the forum. Why did you sell the LV so soon, rather than just keeping it as you saved up the difference and then trading for the GOLD? I think that is the issue that is confusing a lot of people. I tend to agree with the poster above who called the LV "money in the bank."

The LV was not really depreciating, so it is unlike selling a car to purchase a different model a year later. In addition, if Rolex raises their prices (as they always do), there is actually the chance that you could have sold it for more in the future than you received for it now.

I physically needed to get rid of the LV because I had pending bills to pay of and have financed watches in the past which needed paying of.. So either way I needed to sell it anyway.. I should have 18k Rolex on my wrist in around 4 months IF all goes to plan
