Since I am a horder of timepieces I would say keep your 116710 and enjoy what you have. The Daytonai is a striking piece though... Good luck!

I thought I wanted the GMT Ii, based on price & functionality.....until I tried on the Daytona. Then I knew....

There really isn't any reasonable explanation except the Daytona,IMHO, is just a special timepiece...23 day countdown for my first Daytona. I am "settling" on a late series pre-owned, but the wife insists on a BNIB...luckily I'm a pussy, so BNIB it is! haha

The gmt ii is sweet but so is the daytona..I have both, but if I had to part with one then the gmt would go in favor of the daytona, no question..

You own 3 Rolex GMT's.

Since I prefer the 16710 & 16750 models ...I would get the Cosmograph for more variety.

Even though there's no question that the GMT IIC is a beautiful watch the Rolex new case style fits better Divers' IMHO.(my own personal taste YMMV of course...).

Yes Daytona is much less legible than Subs, GMT's, EXP...etc

It takes just a few moments to get used to that when I switch from any of my Subs or other watches to the Daytona.

I personally don't ever care for chronographs...I was looking for a white dial for a change and I just fell for the beauty and supreme comfort of the 116520.

Even though I do not see it I know the 4130 is there...and yes it does add pure selfish pleasure to have this work of art inside the Daytona.

And you get a very elegant timepiece that will dress up/down beautifully and will look like nothing you own already in your collection. white face more so...

So yes...to use some of your words I do believe the White Daytona is calling YOU...

Uggh... I don't think I can do it. No doubt the Daytona is a beautiful piece and the 4130 inside is great reassurance, but I just cannot justify the premium over other available Chronographs.

Wearing the 116710 now and have come to the realization it's just a great all-around functional piece so I think I'll keep her and go for the 792XX, 791XX or possibly Zenith.

For me, next to the time of day the date is the second most used function. I would keep the GMT IIc and look for a clean Tudor with a 7750.

Parts availability for your lifetime should be a non-issue. Service of a chronograph is usually about $100 to $150 more then a standard movement. Definitely not a show stopper.

funny i had a tu tone daytona very nice sold it cause no date. missed it purchased a m series black dial again nice sold it for same reason purchased a M series white face same thing. so i gave up on the daytona. still it's a nice piece but i like a timepiece with date.
