Apart from possible scraches/dings the watch looks good to me.

The green tag shows an M Serial and the warranty shows a V serial???

Yup. This is the only thing I noticed. Seems to be well worn too - a lot of light swirls on the bezel.

Usually when there's smoke there's fire. I would run away from this item.
