Hi and new "Oyster Perpetual"

Hi,
I'm new in this forum. I'm from Italy.

My watches are:
- Cartier Santos Carrč Galbč (quartz)
- Tudor Crono Prince Date

I'm looking for new Rolex Oyster Perpetual such as Air King, Perpetual and Perpetual Date

What do you think about?

Thanks.

Welcome to TRF!

Of the three you mention, the AK is my favourite, although I like the old version of it much better than the new one that has polished lugs, different case style etc.

Here is a pic of the AK that I would buy if I were to buy an AK:

A BEAUTY with that silver coloured dial, isn't it?

Please post a pic of your Tudor Chronograph! I really love them, and they are getting more and more sought-after.

Here is MY suggestion how to post pics here:

1) Go to www.photobucket.com and create an account (it's FREE!)
2) Upload the pic to photobucket from your PC
3) When it's uploaded, copy the IMG code (BOTTOM bar under the photo in photobucket - there are four bars, but you'd wanna use the LAST bar - see my arrow on the Print Screen underneath). You copy the IMG code by simply clicking on the bar:

4) You then note that photobucket tells you "copied".
5) Then go to rolexforums and start your post.
6) In your post, press the "Add picture" button and a prompt pops up with http://. Delete that http:// and press CTRL + V (now that address of the photo - the "IMG tag" - is inserted in the prompt you got.
7) Then DELETE the last and first [IMG] to get rid of "IMG" standing before and after your photo when you post it. (not important, but just looks better).

Or you can skip # 6 & 7 and just rightclick in your post and choose "paste"...........BINGO your photo will be there as soon as you press Submit reply.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT DELETE THE PICTURE FROM PHOTOBUCKET (OR ANY SERVER YOU USE) SINCE DELETING IT THERE WOULD ALSO DELETE IT HERE ON TRF! (RED CROSS INSTEAD OF PIC).

That's it!

Welcome and enjoy.

Always liked the clean look of those AK's.
Tasteful but down to earth.

Ok. The AK is ok.

But which are the differences with the old models except COCS
certification?
Why can't I see them in "Rolex Gallery" from the official Rolex site?
Where can I find more information (ie dimension, options etc.) of the new "Oyster Perpetual" collection?

Basically, besides being COSC rated, the differences are a different, more "squarish" case style and broader lugs (actually also satinized on the new AK, but polished on the new DJ).

BTW: Don't give too much attention to COSC rating as it is more marketing hype than a true indication of precision. For example, the Sub 14060 (non COSC) is a VERY precise watch, even without COSC.

I do believe that there ARE pics of the new AK on the rolex site. Have a look again:
