Baselworld 2012 Tudor question

Playing devils advocate here.

why is Tudor getting a 'pass' on using an eta 2824 in their new "Pelagos" and 'Black Bay'?

we can all agree the design of the 'blackbay' and moreso the "Pelagos' titanium 500m and new clasp features are very well done.

movement choice?.

if this was omega or breitling, im pretty confident that many would be dismissing it based on the movement choice. The Tudor isnt even a 'chronometer'.

I personally like them both and the movement does not bother me whatsoever.

I think your last statement tells you why they "get a pass". I wouldn't say it this way. I believe that most here have great respect for the Tudor brand. Both Rolex and Tudor have a history of ETA movement use. Oh and ETA makes very good movements.

Tudor uses chronometer grade ETA movements. No pass necessary.
