Explorer II 42mm discount?

Hi, does anyone know whether the dealer offer any discounts for the new 42mm Explorer II? I bought the Explorer I 39mm March 2011 and didn't get any discount in Hong Kong coz it's new and only have two in the Rolex Boutique Store.

If so, will we get at least 8% discount like other models?

Only an AD can answer this question...

I actually think things are going the other direction. My AD said that $7750 is on track for a 6% hike in the near term. Not sure if that's right but he sure wasn't offering any discounts.

No ADs know when or what the next increase will be. That's just a ploy to try and sell you a watch before the "very soon upcoming" price increase.

If your ad will not discount or you are unhappy with the discount amount I would not hesitate to contact once of the trusted sellers right here in trf. I have done countless deals with many of them myself

I've never heard that one before.... ???? Around here the typical discount on SS models is right around zero..

Spoke with a local AD in Greenwich - they're back ordered until the summer and holding to $7750.

I got a 15% discount on my 42mm expy, but only because I have a long relationship with that AD.

Unless you're on a "that sorta relationship" level with your AD, then you probably have your best chance at finding a discount on these forums. I don't think my AD would discount the model -- not yet, anyway. Maybe throw in a free winder.
