I have a 6.5" wrist and wear the beastly POC and it's perfectly comfortable.

The only negative is that it's not going to be a very versatile watch with such a tall case.

The circumference of your wrist isn't really the best way to judge, it's entirely down to the shape, you can have, like me, wide flat wrists, my actual measurement is a touch over 6 1/2" but the shape means I can wear larger watches no problem, the pic below is a 45.5mm Planet Ocean, the best advice is to try them on and see which one suits you, don't get hung up on the numbers.

If you like it enough after trying it on, done comparing it with the other options.

Then GET IT even if the world tells you it looks like **** because it makes you happy. Its your money.

CHEERS and congrats in advance for your new Rolex!

The DSSD is a very polarizing piece, its love it or hate it... I know some people prefer the old Submariner to the new one... but I never heard anyone hate the new Subc...

Yes, 8 links total on the entire watch-- four on each side. Only one link on each side is removable. The first 3 links on each side are permanent links. The 4th links are screw-mounted links.

Very interesting distinction you've just pointed out. I have 6.5" wrists, but mine are rounder, as opposed to yours, which are flatter. If you look at the picture I posted on the first page, you'll notice that the dial of the DSSD takes up the entire width of the wrist.

It's something that people often don't appreciate David, a measurement isn't really any way judge when compared to wrist shape but it's often the case on sites such as these that the 'can an x sized wrist get away with a big watch' threads will kind of give a definitive yes or no answer, and the reality is you'll never know without trying them on.

Yours looks great by the way :-)

Try them on. I tried a SubC on and was sold...thought DSSD was just too much after I tried it on.

Then after I left, all I could think about was the DSSD, haven't looked back since. Go try them on...then go back a week later and try on again.

As Memphis and David are pointing out, wrist shape and wrist size are different.

More importantly, i feel hand size comes into play. Small wrist with a large hand can most certainly pull off a larger watch. That's where the balance comes from.

Also, i feel a smaller wrist should have a larger watch fitted more snugly. Nothing accentuates a small wrist like a big, dangling watch.

Very true. I have small wrists, but very flat, so DSSD sits great one it.

I'm a very large guy, 6'8, 350 lbs, size 17 feet, and yet I still find the Deepsea just too thick. I keep trying them on, I keep wanting to like it, but I really do feel the Sub C is the smarter choice. I will admit I wish the Sub C had the Deepsea's version of the Glidelock. :)

Yeah you have a good point there. i had tried the PO 45mm and i can see it abit too big for my wrists because my wrists are round on the top part and the bottom are flat, just wondering if the Deepsea looks ok for my wrist. I will go try it on someday.

Tough call- I have all 3 and love all 3- I think my wrist is a little bigger than 6.75 and the DSSD is perfect or me, and is perfect with suits- no problem at all fitting under cuffs. If I had to choose only one it would be between the DSSD and GMT
