DFWmembers, any experience using

looking for a place to service an Omega and Breitling. Do not want to ship them. Lucky we have the Rolex SC here, Backendorfs wants to send my watches away. Did a search and these guys came up. They claim to use factory parts and able to pressure test etc

Anyone tried thm? Heard of them?
Thanks

I too would like to know where to take my Breitling in DFW. For rolex's I take them to Charmosa. But he won't do Breitling or complex watches like Daytona anymore. He may not do Omega's either as the last time I dropped a watch off his wife said he was only doing Rolexes now. I've had good estimates offered from DGSE, but not sure if I trust them to use genuine parts as they sell Rolexes with "non-genuine" or "aftermarket" parts like bracelets and bezels.

Turn around, that's the reason. Specially on an Aerospace. Waiting 3 to 5 weeks for a battery change?!? Ridiculous. I understand sending a mechanic/automatic watch for service. Not so much for a quartz (or what they call super quartz).
Like the idea of waiting for it, getting the new battery in and having it pressure tested- all in 20 minutes.
Anyone out there tried them?

After 19 days went to pick them up. One could not be fixed(SpeedMaster) and the other(Seamaster) was fixed but could not be worn in the shower or rain.

Cost $275

Just my experience.

Thanks for the info. I will pass on them and just send my watch to Archer in Canada.

I changed my own Aerospace battery in about 5 minutes. As long as you are careful when you put the gasket back you should be fine.

Well that is unacceptable! Were the Omegas in very rough shape?
I can't imagine a "Seamaster" that can't be used around water....
Thanks for sharing, if you get a chance pls elaborate.

Hmmm, I guess I could. This is my daily and part of my routine includes swimming. I suppose I could pressure test after changing my own battery with this guys. So far I m not impressed tho. Unless those two Omegas had a catastrophic failure I don't see how/why they couldn't be rebuilt.
Only two poss answers: A) the cost of rebuild would b close to replacing. Or B) the watchmaker was not competent enough.
A non-water resistant Seamaster????? Really?!?

I had an Omega serviced by TimeTech in Dallas. It came back with scratches on it and one of the pushers fell out within half a day. Never again.

Archer in Canada is the one to use (about to send an AquaTerra chrono to him this week) or Nesbit. None local though.

For Rolex, Chamosa is the go to man.
