Golf in Thailand.

We play a few times each week but as hard as I try my camera never seems to make an appearance!. Too busy thinking about the next shot

Today, myself and a regular golf partner played Greenwood which is about 45 minute drive from Pattaya, where I live for most of the year. It's an absolute golfing paradise in this area, there's about 20 golf courses within easy reach (15 to 50 minute drive) and of these courses, half a dozen are 27 hole and a few are 36. I like going to the ones that're a bit out of the way, if ever you've wanted to know what owning your own golf course is like that's how to do it. Beautiful weather today and we almost got through 18 without seeing another player, but on the 17th we could see a 3 ball on the 12th. 18 holes played in well under 3 hrs today, perfect!.

Cost today was 1800 Baht per player which is ball-park for most courses around here, about USD $60 including buggy and caddy (but a caddy tip of perhaps $10 is expected and appreciated). A nice lunch and a few beers on the way home and what a great way to spend a few hours. I'm no photographer and my camera is just a small point-n-shoot but I hope you enjoy the few snaps attached.

Oh, to the guys who ask "can I play golf with my Rolex" the answer is 210% YES. This 16710 has seen hundreds of rounds and I hit at least 500 balls a week at the range. Never a problem.

Have a good weekend!.

Not for finding lost balls unfortunately!. It's just a stray dog, there's a lot of them all through Thailand and they're just part of the typical scenery.

What do you call a "soi dog" that's out on the course??

Nice pics. If I ever get back to Thailand, I'd definitely want to bring the sticks (if the wife and kids let me......).
