1958 Ladydate
Hi, I'm a new owner of a secondhand rolex. I bought it at a local pawn shop and had it authenticated by an authorized rolex dealer. I'm curious as to the value of a 1958 Oyster perpetual (I lost my little paper where they told me the model and serial number, but one of the numbers I think is 6513...). They told me they would give me a trade in value of $800 dollars, but I could sell on the market (forgot what market he said also!) for more. Is that even possible?

Welcome, hard to say without pictures. Post some detailed macro pictures of the dial, caseback and whole watch with strap/bracelet and someone here will be able to advise you. Also if you take off the strap/bracelet (or get any watchmaker to do it, is simple), the reference number and serial number are inscribed on the case inbetween the lugs.
Once you know it's true value you could put it up for sale in the "For Sale" section here.

Ok, I finally have a picture. It was the best I could do. The model is 6516. Serial #627175. It did not have a band, so I put on a 13mm oyster band that was made in the US. Any help you can give would be great. Thanks.

I've never heard of a "LadyDate" - the ladies models of the Date and DateJust simply say that on the dial. It's probably a redial.
