buying/selling trends

has anyone noticed a lot of 14060M activity on sales forums since the announcement of the new model? This has always been a popular model but in the past month they appears to be a lot of buyers and sellers.

I noticed a similar situation when the 16610lv was discontinued, now that has slowed down and not sure there is one for sale on the forum besides the 11k one.

I've noticed the same steady stream of 14060's for sale, but the watch that seems to be selling the most is the 16710 gmt's, coke, pepsi and black bezel...

Agree anyone who pays 11k for any 16610LV IMHO must be sixpence short of a shilling.

I have noticed a TON of old style explorer 2's lately. Everybody seems to like the update. Stores can't keep them in stock around my area.

It's common for people to want the newest model thus they sell the older one. After people start buying up the new models like the GMT-C, they will find whether or not they really like the newer models. The early buyers of the GMT-C found a weakness in the cracked ceramic bezel and absurd bezel replacement prices and went back to the old 16710 GMTs. As you may all see, the prices of the 16710 GMTs have shot through the roof thus reflecting their demand.

The 14060M and the older Ex2 haven't reached a point of appreciation yet, which is reflected in the secondary market until buyers of the newer models have realized if they like the newer Rolex models.

agreed, plus the 16710 can be worn with 3 different bezel inserts and two bracelets, I swapped by oyster for a jubilee a few months back and wear it tons more now. Some days I go coke, other days pepsi and most day black

Plus, its very functional for travel

Yeah the 16710 GMT feels like 3 watches in one with the 3 different bezel inserts you can put on the watch. If you get bored of the Coke, go with Pepsi or the all black. People probably just realized this now, thus the demand has been super high.
