Jubilee Fine Jewelers in Ottawa?

Hello TRF Member,

Has anyone ever been to Jubilee Fine Jewelers in Ottawa? It's on the 3rd floor of the Rideau Centre. I'm possibly going there this weekend.

Yes. They have Rolex, Tag, Jlc, and others. Gill is their main watch guy, he is very knowledgeable and collects vintage rolex. Tyler is quite knowledgeable too and you are more likely to encounter him on the weekend. They often have some watches not on display (eg gv, Daytona ss, etc).
Btw birks has omega ando some others (same floor), and Bob Thompson (bank St downtown) also has Omega -often a better selection than Birks.
The only other rolex ad is Howards on sparks street. They did not seem very knowlegeable a couple of years ago.

Alright good to hear! Hopefully I can spark a chat with some of the guys there. Do you think they'd allow photos in the store?

Great group of guys, very professional and friendly staff, never bought anything from them, but had some links changed/bracelet straps, etc...

I buy most of my watches online....cheaper ;)

But staff are professional and knowledgeable! Good luck!

I won't be buying that's for sure! Just looking. Or you never know if my dad see's a 116713 TT GMT-IIC.

Will do! I hope they're nice people! One of my friends went there, with his dad. And said that an oriental guy, didn't let him try any of the watches on. My friend doesn't really know much about Rolex. But that doesn't matter. I'll let you know!

They let my 14 year old son try things on, but usually when he's with me. I've never tried to take photos so I'm not sure about that. On a couple of occasions one of the sales guys went over to Godiva and brought back chocolates that he started offering around. Generally I'd say they are great. You are close enough to finishing high school that they might think you are scouting for a grad gift. (my son always gets that no matter where we are-he looks a bit older than he is. ). Have a fun trip.

Very cool! I'm happy to hear that. I'll just go in with my dad. I've been in alone to Patek Philippe, Vintage Rolex Dealers and Rolex AD's in Beverly Hills and in Toronto, Syracuse, Montreal. Never had a problem, I've always been nice and polite with the salesman or woman. I'll ask for pictures but, that doesn't really matter to me. Very cool! Where in Kingston?

Mid town ( Johnson and Portsmouth) then Auden Park area ( I also have lived near Queens when I was a student). We moved to Ottawa in 2004.
