Thank you Frogman4me!

A few weeks ago I was in Baltimore and had an opportunity to meet Frogman4me (David) for breakfast.
A planned "quick cup of coffee" lasted almost 2 hours - as we shared stories about watches, life and faith. I saw David's beautiful collection of vintage Rolex, Tudors and Seikos. I was (and still am) awed by his offer to give me a 30 year old Seiko diver (6039) from his collection. I originally declined his gracious offer, but after talking longer, I realized it was important for David to share this beautiful gift with me and for me to accept it. Our watch means alot to me for many reasons.

Thank you David...

Our passion has the ability to take us on different and important journeys - I hope you enjoy yours.
Russ

Russ you are so right. Its great that our hobby can connect people on many different levels. I am glad that you both had the opportunity to meet and share some experiences while on your travel to Baltimore. I hope that your subsequent journey is fruitful as well.

Very nice to share such an amazing experience and positive Russ.

To David, you are a class act. What an amazing gesture. We should all aspire to such acts of generosity.

Wow Russ thank you, this thread humbles me. I feel so blessed to have met you and I agree the best part of our watch hobby is not the watch itself but the people you meet and encourage along the way.

After we parted ways I wanted to give you my 6105 instead or I wish I didn't sell all my 6309's that were in better condition but your so appreciative anyway :)

This thread was not necessary you are too kind my friend.

The watches here are great, but the community here and David is one of them, is simply outstanding.

Congrats, nice looking watch.

Nice story Russ, I agree David is a great guy! I recall reading his posts many moons ago when TRF member Yazo was seeking advice on acquiring a vintage Daytona. Always willing to help and has some great informative posts!
