clasp screw backing out

Hello All

The screw holding my clasp to my bracelet on my DJ is backing out. I am out and cannot get to AD. Called and they said loctite. Ever heard this? I tried to tighten and it got worse; moving in two days further out.

Thx.

Loctite is widely used to keep screws from backing out and there are several varieties that are distinguished by their color, so you would want to use the right one.

Can you get to any watchmaker or tech who could get the job done?

In a pinch you can also use a little clear nail polish... not that you carry it around. Just saying.

Yep! The use clear nail polish part, not the carrying it around part. Ah, forget it.

Loctite 221 or 222 only!
Dab in the link hole then insert screw... Do not over-tighten the screw!!!!

Odd part is that the screw goes all the way through or backs out on either side. Should it stop? Now that i think about it: should it do that at all or have a stop?

No car; no jewelry store to go to on/at disney
