The only way Rolex I see is just like BMW an exact match, is advertising. BMW is one of the top brands that spend most money on advertisements. Why do you think BMW has become such a big name in cars, advertising... Only difference is, Rolex is actually good. But still not as good as other brands who dont advertise as much, such as PP and VC for example..
If Rolex was like BMW, I would not have ANY in my collection.

I'm biased to see the DJII as a 530i

I think Yacht-Master II = Alpina B7 - both are big, both are "poweful", both are not mainstream

Can't think what my M5 would be though...

Probably the King Midas, because its odd-shaped prohibitively small and owned by unusual types ;)

I think Rolex is more Merc. than BMW as merc is more conservative and reserved
I think Omega = BMW and Breitling = Audi

Seiko=Nissan?

Not really, because if you want to use Analogies, is the Tudor truly a Rolex ?? because as sure as eggs are eggs the Lexus is a Toyota.

The Lexus my Mother owned was one of the worst pieces of junk Toyota has ever built and that is saying something.

My two BMW's have been flawless.
