Try something stealth like a Tissot or RW and let it slide under the radar..........

Man, that would be awesome to have a flight simulator in the basement. I'd have to get rid of my husband's wine collection, though.

Fortunately we are in a good enough financial position that if we need something, say the washing machine breaks, we just go get a new one, after researching the best products.

My husband and I never bother each other over our purchases. We trust each other, so he knows I wouldn't come with with, say, a $50K diamond bracelet, or him with a Patek or a new car in the driveway. We don't have any sort of pre-set limit, but I would guess than we can buy up to about $10K of stuff before consulting each other, e.g. cars and stuff. He is totally in charge of computers and other technology so I don't care at all what he gets. I don't go crazy over clothes, but when my Hong Kong tailor is in town I can get some custom-made suits for work without having to get "permission."

When it gets to cars we just rubber-stamp each other's choices. That is, we can get what we want, but don't surprise the other, either. So, he may say he wants a particular car, I will look at it, and if I don't have an objection he'll get it.

So, no, I don't bother him over watches.

Hmmm. Glad my fiancé loves Corvettes and all my other hobbies. As long as the "dead animals" are hung in one of the extra bedrooms or the study all is GOLDEN.

I really couldn't imagine hiding a watch purchase from her. That's just strange to me.
