Tudor 38MM date day
Hi,
I was wondering if you could give me a model number for this Tudor? I haven't taken the band off to look. I believe this is the model they refer to as the Date Day Jumbo. It appears to be a bit larger than my Datejust. The bezel is 18k white gold. The back cover appears to be the standard Tudor with the Rolex name. The crown contains the signature coronet. Thanks in advance for your responses. Mike |

Mike, sorry I can't help with the model, but that is a nice looking watch!

Not sure of the model number. My Tudor DD is a 7020/0 with rotating bezel and dates from 1970.
I'm pretty sure your DD bezel is engine turned stainless steel, not white gold. Hopefully one of our resident experts will come along to help. dP

Thank you for your responses, I'm going to have the bezel checked. I was told that some of these DD's did come with both fluted and engine turned 18K bezels. But, I never really gave any of this much thought. I recently joined this Forum, and found many things that I thought were correct to be totally manufactured by the seller. I love watches, and have quite a few, but now I'm suspicious of a number of them. I realize there's no such thing as a bargain. As a rule when buying used items, you are subject to being taken in by the seller and your own desire. If anyone does have information regarding this DD Tudor, I'm looking forward to your response.

Two years late better than never. I am wearing this same watch today. The reference is 94510.
It is not white gold, but steel engine-turned bezel. This is not a jumbo (I have compared both), and later than the jumbo references of which there are 3 common models: re: jumbo 7017, 7019, 7020. I'm not sure of the diff between 7017 and 7019, but the 7020 has a turn-o-graph bezel. The numbers which appear after these 4 digits e.g. 7017/0 refer to: /0 = domed smooth steel bezel /4 = white gold fluted bezel The numbering convention is similar to the early rolex pieces. If there is a /3, that would be yellow-gold fluted/ |
