Just FYI...a LOOM is a device used to weave cloth. I believe you are referring to the LUME:)

He's holding up a black light so it looks blue but it's still green.

That's right. If you want to turbo charge the loom just point a UV keyring light to it.

I'm with the above poster, the "blue" looks purple on my screen, and that's because the watch doesn't actually have the Chromalight. He's just shining a "black" light on the watch. That's why if you look at the watch itself you see the reflection of the light.

I just don't quite get what we're supposed to be getting from this thread?

It depends on the white balance setting on your camera. As we all know, the Lume on the GMTIIC is in fact green.

If the white balance on your camera is set to Tungsten (or auto white balance and you are photographing the watch in a tungsten yellow light - lit room), the white balance color correction in the camera will in fact add more blue to the image to cancel out the yellow warmth that the tungsten light puts into in the image.

And hence, your green Lume will appear blue in your image.

I kind of thought he wanted to know which we like better. And, blue is my preference. Sadly, my GMTIIC has green lume. But heck, I still otta Rolex on my wrist so....I guess I can love green lume!
