cheers Mark btw Ashley, a bit OT but from my last trip up to your neck of the woods, the Stallions of the italian variety was much more prevalent....... could not believe the number of times i saw a ferrarri and for that matter the lambos as well..... good eye candy for sure and I guess the weather plays it s part. |

Thanks guys, updating list with the upward revision on the porcelains and Milgauss, what about the tropical plastic Daytona? Also could add in further ranges on the 35k+ category too esp the Comexes and Milsubs which I know very little about
Rough Guide: Approximate Pricing Ranges for Full Set Rolex vintages 0-15K USD 1) Feet first Red submariner 1680 Full set (MK IV, V, VI) 2) Mid series 1655 Full set 3) Zenith daytonas Full set 4) 5512 Full set (matte 70's 5512 ) (refer Footnote2 for other 5512"s ) 5) Tropical 1016 gilt gloss dial, 1675 chapter ring 15-25K USD 1) Meters first Red submariner 1680 Full set (MK1,2,3) 2) First series straight hand 1655 Full set 3) GMT 1675 PCG Gilt CR Full Set 25-35K USD 1) Double red sea dweller Full set (mostly MK4. refer Footnote1 for MK1, 2 and 3 prices) 2) Tropical 1680 red sub Full Set 3) Milgauss 1019 Full Set 4) Tropical plastic daytona (could go into the 35k+ range too) 35K+ USD 1) R serial floating Daytona 16520 Full Set 2) Comexes 3) Mil Subs Older Porcelain Daytonas??? Footnote1: mk1 drsd ...patent pending $100-140k. (b&P getting close to 200k) mk2 --patent pending - $50- 75k (b&P Extra) mk2 - std - 40-60k (b&P Extra) mk3 - 25-35k (b&P Extra ) NOS on any of those add 50%[/QUOTE] Footnote2: variation /reference/ year /Approx Price (variation?) 5512 60"s (Price?) (variation?) 5512 70"s (Price?) (Gilt PCG ) 5512 60"s (Price?) (Chapter 4 line) 5512 60"s (15-25K) [probably too close to the ceiling] NOTE: This price list is only meant to capture rough current market price ranges on an average for full B&P sets with dealers so do include dealer markups. It's intended to serve as a guideline to budding vintage collectors and in no way attempts to capture special watches eg: NOS, etc. that are sought after and hence might command higher prices. This list also doesn't capture prices for watches bought directly from the public or sold between collectors which depend more on negotiation, etc so are hard to capture. It also doesn't capture loose watches i.e without B&P, so markdown these prices to get approximate prices for loose watches. As always, please do your own due diligence before buying watches by scouring For Sale sections, Auction house prices, etc. of the various vintage Rolex vendors to gauge prices since they change depending on market sentiments and demand. |
