93150 w/ 580s

Ok bracelet experts, need some help on this one. I purchased this last spring before I knew this forum existed and my Rolex knowledge was at best novice-level (it could be argued I've made very little progress since the standard seems to be a moving target ).

Anyway, it was purchased off of eBay last year with the intention of putting it on a 1680 Red Sub, but ended up not using it.

Photos attached. I'm thinking there's a strong possibility it may be a franken-bracelet or rubbish but let me know what you guys think.

I actually don't have clue. I consider my Rolex knowledge above average but I know little about what's correct for a bracelet. This particular bracelet never seemed to close properly and after doing some research I found a few instances of 93150s cobbled together with parts of dubious origin.

I'm trying to put together a wearable vintage Sub set for my younger brother and I want to make sure it's all good before I throw the bracelet into the set.

If it looks good to you guys, awesome.

Its easy to see why it doesn't close properly - some major wear on links and pins, pin not seated properly, bent/kinked clasp blade. If its that bad externally, no doubt its stretched pretty badly at pin/link connections, too. Minimum, it could use some adjustment, a thorough inspection, probably a set of new pins at the clasp and, without doubt, refinishing. If failure from pin wear and stretch is not immiment, it might be quite comfortable to wear once realigned at the clasp. If you are inclined and careful, you could do most of that required work yourself - a learning experience, with some self-reward and low risk, considering its condition.

I couldn't attest to its authenticity, but it has held up to some real abuse and is not corroded (like cheap SS) - so it could be the real deal. Good luck

Looks good to me, and once refinished should be good to go. Refinishing can be done yourself, plenty of info on that here.

It is an early generation 93150 band which is evidenced by the square indentation on the side of the clasp. 100% genuine, but worn some.
