Does Rolex Track "Name on Sale Card"

My question is does Rolex track watches sold to individual people or is it only kept on file for the AD's. Could this information be used as a "repeat buyer" 'VIP" client of Rolex? Similar to that of a valued customer of a business? I have three Rolex's a GMTII 'Coke" (Bought used), EXI (My name), GMTIIC (My name) Just wondering. Thanks in advance

No, Rolex does not track buyers.. All buyer information stays with the Dealer, and so you become a VIP client of that Dealer..

However, Rolex does track service records.. When you take or send your Rolex to an RSC for service, it then becomes tagged with your name and address..

This is important to know.. If you let the AD send it in, the watch is tracked at the Dealer level and they are communicating with the service center making the decisions, not you..

I never got anything from Rolex and I have 2 with my name on the card so I am guessing they do not really care about us enough to even send a card..
I work in sales and I know every customer I get is the most important customer so I send a hand written thank you card to every customer I deal with just to thank them for stopping in , whether they buy or not and then another Thank you for there business card..

It's simple.. The Dealer is the "agent", and that Dealers shipping information and requirements are what is received at Rolex. Therefore, that is who they deal with.. All communication and paperwork is exchanged between the Dealer and the RSC. When it's complete, you go to the Dealer and they return your watch to you.. Sometimes you have to ask them for the paperwork or all they will give you is the new warranty cert and not the itemized invoice..

The Dealer considers this customer service and the majority of Rolex owners are fine with it.. They drop it off, and they pick it up......... just like laundry.

Not a bad deal for those who don't want to deal with the RSC. Personally I like the Rolex paperwork and misc junk like the service box etc.

I once wrote Rolex a hand written letter with a couple questions and about a month later I received a very nice personal letter answering all of them. They went above and beyond. I find emails to be pretty cold and a lot more can be accomplished with a sweet, hand-written letter.

I talked to the owner of an AD and he said that when you purchase a watch, the rolex AD is required to fill up a form that states the model, serial no, purchase date and owners name. This form is then send to Rolex and recently emailed to Rolex. Thanks

Regards,

Tom

I was interested in what the RSC looked like and wanted a quicker turn around so I went down there. They said if I came down they could give me an estimate in about twenty minutes. They gave me what had to be serviced as well as what they recommended. They also gave me the cost for switching from a crackled black dial, to a new blue dial, since they would not service the dial with the crackle. I decided to do everything. Within a week, I had a letter from Rolex giving me more information. I approved it and had the watches in about three weeks. I had several conversations with them, and I am glad I had control and did not go through the dealer.

I am posting pictures of the watches in another thread.
