Collection question

Hey everyone. I recently offloaded most of my collection mainly because I wasn't in love with a few of the watches I had. In any case, I kept 2 that I definitely love: AP ROC and the Sub LVc.

So, my question is: would adding a ROO be repetitive since I already have the ROC? Does anyone have both and find one to be redundant?

Also, any suggestions on a 4th watch would be great. I'm thinking of going for an IWC Port Auto 7 days. The silver face with gold hands and numbers. I've admired them for a while now. Please feel free to chime in! All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!

Of course you would need a ROO as well in your collection

Great trio you've got there! I'm thinking either the panda or the themes with the blue dial with white subdials. The RC is also an interesting one - how do you like yours?

u will love the iwc port auto, it is my fav watch from the iwc line. It has such a clean simple timeless dial, with very little bezel so it is basically all dial. It has a nice thickness and the clear caseback showing the amazing 7 day movement is just awesome.

Here is a pic of mine

I think a ROO would be a PERFECT compliment to your collection.

The ROO is a totally different animal.

I used to think that a ROC and ROO would be too similar, but I am really really liking the ROO 44mm Carbon right now, and it looks and feels quite different than the ROC. I have actually thought about selling my Sub-C to help fund a ROO, but I do love the Sub-C and don't think I can give it up..so looks like I'll have to save up.

why not go IWC? mix it up. i'm particularly fond of that IWC in blue and white, as above. the only thing that gives me pause is the power reserve indicator for an automatic movement.

but, there's always room for an ROO to go with an ROC.....

tough one.

Always room for a Royal Oak Offshore but I'd diversify so you have 1Rolex 1AP 1IWC etc How about a Panerai Radomir ?

A ROO would fit nicely with your other 2.

Wears thicker and heavier but not overboard.
As for the IWC - I think the Port 7 day is a perfect alternative to dress things up a bit.

ROO is quite different and has a place in every collection as far as I am concerned! Go for it!

Thanks everyone. Ok, so it sounds like having both APs could work. :) now I just need to figure which one I like best.

Cru - I was actually asking about the port auto in addition to the ROO. Thinking of picking both up.

Any reasons why I shouldn't get the port auto?

Definitely- ROO has a more sporty feel while the chrono is more dressy- good luck with
your decision!

I don't see any reason not to pick up the Port Auto if you can. IMO the Port Auto and the Big Pilot are two of IWC's iconic watches and are both amazing watches.

Best of luck with your decision on the direction of your collection.

Cheers,
James

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. Thanks.
