15300 vs 15400

Could someone please share with me the pros and cons of the clasp on these 2 pieces? Is the new 15400's clasp a upgrade from the 15300? In terms of comfort, security, etc?

The clasp on the original 15300 was as good as this, But it's a huge improvement on the ROC and on the Jumbo.

Here we go again...

I'll take the 15400, but most of the comments I've read here are biased toward the 15300: classic size, movement fits better, date window in better spot. All good reasons but the 15400 is just so awesome...

I'm only asking about the clasps on these two models. But it seems they are unchanged so that answers that!

I was in Bahrain AP Boutique weeks ago. Boutique Manager was wearing his 15300, he show me the new 15400. When I get them closer to each other. 15400 IS THE PIECE (from all directions).

I will pick the 15300. My 15300 is just perfect from every aspect. The bracelet and case size are the just perfect.

Sorry, misread your original post. From what I can tell from the pics the 15400 doesn't have the "AP" bridges in the clasp like the 15300.

The clasps are different. I like the new clasp on the 15400 way better. I own the 15300 and the difference is very clear. I posted a pic of the clasp on another thread were someone is asking about the 15300 vs. 15400. I'll post the pic in a little bit.

I Just tried on the 15400 at the AD shop, and for me, I think the 15300 is a bit more comfortable to wear, I have average to large size wrists, and I find a Rolex Submariner to be a nice size.

I tried the 15400 and a chrono the size of a 15300 as the AD had none of the latter. Smaller one would be the way to go for me. My wrist is ~ 6.5"

I am debating between the 15300, a Patek Calatrava 5127 and a Daytona - SS or WG for a special future birthday. It would be a present to myself of course!!!

Can you make micro adjustments on either clasp?

No. Don't know if 1.5 is available for 15400.

6.5" wrist and 15400 is ideal for me.

No micro adjustments although you can always get a 1,5 link for a better fit

Both gorgeous but with my smaller wrists, I would go with a 15300.

Old is gold? If it's not broken, don't fix it? etc... :)
