Rolex Daytona Cosmograph through my lens
Hello TRF,
Here are some pictures I took today of my Daytona using my 35mm AF-S 1:1.8G lens on a Nikon D60. The Daytona to me is like the F355 Ferrari its beautiful and will never look out of style. Growing up in the 90's the F-car and the Daytona were my utter most favorite "grown" up luxuries. I like to associate cars with watches, the Daytona is a slim watch compared to the other offerings in the market, its my smallest watch and I love it. Today cars are getting bigger and heavier, although they have more performance but they've lost their beauty or artistic touch. Look at a YM2 and Compare it to a Daytona, take a look at the Ferrari 599 and Compare it to a 575 Maranello. I doubt I'd buy another Rolex again, I love my watch and it's taken years to get there (motivation, persistence) I now wear it with pride every day achieving a kid's dream 17 years ago. Anyways enough of me going around the block expressing my thoughts, a picture is a thousand words. Hope you like it. |

Lovely photos! I hope you continue to enjoy your Daytona for decades to come! I, too, find it to be elegant and timeless....and just a darn sexy timepiece!

I fully agree on your statements, and mine says hello:
It is truly amazing how good it feels to wear this watch, not too big and not too heavy as many other large size watches today.... I enjoy it since I got it 10 weeks ago! Tom |
