Rolex model numbers, how do u know?
I see that most everyone here refers to their watches or a particular Rolex by the model number.
Where is this information and how does everyone keep track? Did you all memorize the numbers or is there a trick to know what model is what? Totally newbie question, I just want to know what people are talking about when they say: "wow look at this 114060.... what ever" Is there a cheat sheet?

Almost 25 years in my industry and I still don't know part numbers, but I know what I need to get the job done correctly!
GMT, Explorer I/II, Daytona, etc. works better for me!

If I understand your question correctly, take your bracelet off and look between the lugs. On one end is the serial number and the other is the model number.
