Getting ready for Hawaii....

..I just got a new strap in the mail today to take to Hawaii with Dylan and I in January. It is an OEM cormaid velcro dive strap. This thing is unreal comfy and fits more snug than anything else I have worn. It is a bit to casual to wear everyday, especially in the winter, but I will wear it a ton in Hawaii and at home when it is hot out.

Nah, I really have fallen in love with the DZ Strapmasters. They have that hydro 48 protection to water, but are padded, unlike my Dirk. Although, I am sure all the straps will make the trek.

The worst part is, I am sure all three of my watches will go. I have the travel case for it and there will be different occasions.

Hawaii! Lucky you. Have a great trip. Nice new strap too. One question though, what is OEM?

OEM = original equipment manufacturer Tyler. The term is sometimes really a misnomer because some OEMs are not the original manufacturers. They are sometimes customised to look like original manufacturers products.

Padi, if it is not OEM and it is marked, it is a fake, no? This one is an OEM, with proper marking and package, not a knockoff.

I think what he meant was that the company that makes the watch does not always make their own straps. The company may make straps for several OEM's, each one makred for the company they manufacture it for.........hope that clears it up.

Mid January to the Big Island for a week and a half. We will spend a few days on O'ahu visiting friends and family. The crazy part is that it is just Dylan and I going. 9 and half hours there and the same coming back.

Got it. Panerai has not made their straps that I know of since the Richemont takeover. They have always outsourced them to the best of my knowledge.

Just look at like this. Dylan will definetly be a chick magnet for the stewardesses on the flight. I'm sure they'll pay extra special attention to him. Wink wink.

I can't wait, plus my parents will be there too. So Dylan will be in heaven with about 7 cousins and the grandparents. Me and my brother will be playing golf everyday.
