Why you should choose an pre-Maxi case Rolex....Variety.

See all the talk about which is better. How about some pictures in one thread for the best reason why? The variety available with different colored inserts?

How about an Old vs. New picture thread to show what they'd miss out on? (all in good fun of course) I know there are some killer photos out there.

I'll start. Not a GMT. I actually like having only a Pepsi option on my 16700.

Excellent photo!

The scratch marks on the bracelet brings out the "tools watch" side, and the versatility by swapping the inserts.

Nope. It's a Rolex insert. Some were blue and silver instead of blue and gold. The pearl needs to be switched though.

No other pics?

yellow gold sub - they didn't make a white gold prior to the maxi case. some of the older yellow gold subs had silver and blue inserts, with a gold pearl instead of gold and blue. so you just swap the pearl over to the silvery colored pearl from a stainless insert.

I would choose one because I find them to be much better looking. The fat lugs on the narrow bracelet does nothing for me.

Again,

Thank you for the comments. I was hoping though we could see some other variety shots besides mine....

The blue insert did come from a yellow gold sub. got it from Springer here on the forums.
