Interesting read, though I agree with the posted comments that say "who needs a chronograph for an everyday watch....?" I think that a submariner is not only a good theoretical choice, but it is a practical choice for an everyday watch..

Who needs a Rolex for an everyday watch for that matter? I have worn my Daytona almost daily for probably a decade and I continue to wish it had a date.

I agree that the Daytona is a great watch, unfortunately I would have to sell all three of my Submariners to purchase one, so I just stare and admire for now....
