Trying my luck in finding a heirloom piece

While rummaging through stuff in the house, I chanced upon this box. According to my dad it was given to him by my late grandfather but was stolen during a robbery at our house back in 1988. Now I want to try my luck in finding the piece with the corresponding serial (also my birthyear watch). The calendar even marked the death of my grandfather (not shown). Now all we have is the box, the hangtag, an extra link and the calendar (shown).

Thanks TRF

This is a genuine quest. Would you post a picture of the model with the serial number; if so, where? I hope it has been traded into honest hands.

I'm going to pray that you will find this. May the thief be revealed and the watch restored to its rightful owner.

Has the serial number heen reported as stolen to Rolex?

thanks for the overwhelming support. reporting this to the RSC requires at the least, a police report. since it happened 24 years ago, I don't think this would still be possible.

I know this is going to sound far fetched but my twin sister was involved in a crime (she was the victim) over 23 years ago and she went to the police station recently and they still had the evidence bag with the ring in it that she was looking for. Go back to the police station and ask them if anything ever came of the investigation - then look at their wrists (my brother is a retired detective - I know these things) ! ! !
