How to upload pictures from an IPad?

Does anyone here can help me of how to upload pictures to this forum from an iPad? I'd usually done it with my notebook using imageshack. Thanks in advance for any help.

Download the photobucket app. That's how I do it and it is significantly quicker than using the photobucket website itself.

What about Dropbox? I have that app for other stuff on my laptop, iPad and iPhone. Just used it a little for family pics and docs. Before I try to "re-invent the wheel" with it, has anybody tried to use it to upload here? I'd just rather not get redundant apps if DB works.

Thanks Keith. I'll give it a try as a comparison.

I agree Tapatalk is fastest if you only want to post the pic to this forum, or another forum that supports Tapatalk.

It does take more time if you use a photo sharing site like Photobucket, Flickr, etc. and their App because you have to take the extra step to upload the picture to their site first, and then paste the pic's URL into TRF's image icon for your post.

Where photo sharing sites work best - and make more sense - is if you use the same image for multiple purposes like posting here, wallpapers, Facebook, sharing via email, etc. In those cases the time spent to upload first isn't lost effort.

Well said, Paul. Thanks for the explanation. I'm going to compare many apps to get the best one.

Using the photobucket app on the iPad Toph, select your image, hit the link icon, , then click on IMG code, when it says 'copied to clip board' (this is essentially a copy & paste term), go back to your TRF post screen and hold your finger down until the paste option comes up.......
Hit paste, and the link is now copied into the body of you post text and ready to be displayed when you submit your post!

Clipboard is not a feature, my friend.

Open your Photobucket, click 'My Album, choose your picture, click the 'Chain symbol' menu, then tap 'Direct Link' until you see 'copied to clipboard'. Now go to TRF, open the thread or post where you want to put the picture, press yellow box symbol to upload the picture; then paste the link you copied into the box. Done!

Good luck!

thank you! I had eventually worked it out after reading a previous post but why can't they just make things simple

Leo...anything to report on your analysis? Everyone seems to be leaning toward Photobucket, but from reading your earlier post to Toph, it involves a LOT of steps....anything simpler?

Hi Keith, let me give you a simplest guidance to send pictures from Photobucket to TRF's thread or post.

1. Open the application.

2. Tap MY ALBUMS, tap CHOOSE UPLOAD SOURCE (Photo Library or Camera)

3. Once the picture is uploaded, open it, go tap the CHAIN symbol, tap DIRECT LINK then you'll you see 'COPIED TO CLIPBOARD'.

4. Go to TRF Forum, then PASTE the link.

Give it a try, and see how simple it is.
