Same here, I'll be trying this with my Daytona.

The more I look at the 'from', the more I think the watch and strap go very well together. They are not pretending to be anything other than a watch on a strap. The 'to' looks a bit like a bracelet has been sort of cut off at both ends, which I think makes the watch look very bulky, and the strap has been attached to what is left.

I'm sorry if this upsets some people, but I think the 'to' looks almost home made compared to the 'from'.

Now I will just start running for cover.

Is there any chance of seeing a photo from the other side, showing the back of the watch, to see how it looks please?

My feeling is visually you go from the bezel to the uniformity of a bracelet which is fine, whilst this way you go from the bezel to the End links of a bracelet to a strap, so my eye sees the watch ending at the end links and not the bezel.
Just feel the strap on its own "frames" the watch better.

Im not one for creating angst on threads, so apologies to the OP.

I'll now retreat to a dark corner, assume the fetal position and hope a bottle of scotch will help me through this...
I also still like the original oyster band on a daytona but each to their own

I like the "from" version better as well!

Beatiful watch either way, though!
