Craiglist Scam

I wanted to post this to clear my concious - sorry if it has already been addressed. I would hate for any of you to fall victim to this guy! He goes by the name of "Gayne Kamps" and he claims to be on his honeymoon in Hawaii. He posts watches on Cragilist for GREAT prices (Z Serial GMT II for $3400) and states he has to sell for "personal reasons." I was fishy from the start but I tried to continue the transaction to get his info and turn him in. He states that the ONLINE OUTPOST has his watch and some other items and he does not know where they are because they picked the things up when he was away. He will send a fake email from a fake Online Outpost location and it will say that the seller requires Western Union payment only, to speed up the transaction. HOW FUNNY THAT THE REAL ONLINE OUTPOST HAS A CONTRACT WITH PAYPAL! It will give a fake address in Hawaii and an address to send the check to! Below the address to send the check to, it says: The address is not the business address because Western Union requires a personal address. THAT's CRAP! LOL!

PLEASE DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS SCAM AND HELP OTHERS AVOID THIS GUY! I have emailed the real Online Outpost and made them aware of him. Cragilist has yet to pull the ads off their site...

Reading the TT Sub scam on this site and how all of you grouped together to uncover the seller makes me feel good about being a part of this Forum. WAY TO GO! I hope soon to actually have a Rolex and OFFICIALLY join the Club!
