Just different.

Your argument is like saying that switching to organic is a trend and that those people will return to eating processed foods. 25 years ago, organic and raw foods weren't available on the market like they are today. People have more choices today than before.

I own a 320 and now a EXP2. I cannot bring myself to wearing a 40mm anymore. Just doesn't sit right on the wrist. I much prefer the heft of a larger watch.
Sorry but your comparison has no relativity at all in my opinion. I don't consider your Pam (I imagine its 44mm) and Exp II 42 to be extremely large, but what I would consider a ceiling. I meant watches that are 45mm and up and seat like a brick on your wrist. This is purely my opinion from what I observe.

My point was to state that if you consider a 40mm watch to small for a man, than you are more than likely caught up in the big watch trend that started some years ago and, is slowly changing back to regular sized watches that fit proportionately.

Well the DeepSea is not extremely large compared to other brands. I've seen pictures of it next to others that make it look like a child's watch.

Plus the DeepSea has a reason to be that size as it can go to extreme depths, but there are other watches that have extreme size only for looks. This I think will fade away.

It's the other way around. The DeepSea can go to extreme depths to have a reason to be that size.

Pretty sure it's not just the DSSD that keeps Rolex in the market

I'm around that size with 7.75-8" wrists and find my SubC the perfect size. I wear my AP ROO 44mm more right now but since I got the Sub lat year my DSSD doesn't see as much wrist time as the Sub. The DSSD is a weekend watch for me at most. I'm almost embarrassed to say it but I went 3 months and didn't wear it once. It was my daily wearer for 3 years and I waited about 6 months too long to buy another watch. The thickness was really bothering me but the over the top writing got on my nerves as well. Don't get me wrong the DSSD is awesome and I won't sell it but it won't ever be a daily wearer for me again. I think it's crazy to consider the Sub is a "women's" watch but it's a simple solution, sell the sub for a DSSD if you must. I think the DSSD is better as part of a collection, not as a single watch.

I will say some of these responses are borderline nuts. Very strange thread. There is a reason the SubC and GMT outsells the DSSD by a good bit.

No need to kill yourself. A few lashes would suffice

Looks ok but (for me) 42 or 44 would fit better.
