Does Rolex need to rethink replacement parts?
If you have a Rolex with say a matte dial but that model run ended with gloss dial and wg Rolex replace with the last dial type that model had. I was wondering what will happen when the value of models like the 16800/5513 climb to a point where this would be a big issue if you had an early matte dial. Do they have a policy of changing supply like they did with the Red Sub dials. Not really a question, just thinking out loud.

When it reaches an economically viable point you maybe will be able to use the heritage service for special restoration ... They will remanufacture required parts that are close proximities of the original , dials , bezels , hands movement parts .... At the mo the average seems to be about €10k for the service ... And of course these aren't originals , and we haven't seen many resold so don't quite know how they 'price' in the market ... |
