White Dial For 18K Day/Date President
I'm considering a change of Dial on my 18K President if I can locate a Dial to replace the Champange Dial that came with it. Any Idea's or suggestions? The Dial is hard for me to tell the time.A White Dial Would be my suggestion. Getting old I guess! Bill

I suggest you take your DD to your nearest AD and have him order one for you. When it comes, he can have with watch maker install it for you. Alternatively, you can have your AD send the watch to RSC and have them change the dial. They would have it (or can get it).

[IMG][/IMG] You might want to go with a Light Champaign (See below) or white as mentioned...whatever suites your taste. Keep in mind that RSC will only replace your dial with one that was offered for your model. Not sure if you have a 18238 or a 118238, but if you want an updated dial, you'll have to find a qualified jewler...not RSC. Just something to think about. Good luck Any PICS [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Another vote here for WHITE WITH ROMANS! I have this dial on my DJ and love it. Very classic. If you're really set on a dial with lume, why not the updated batons on white dial? Should have plenty of lume! Good luck and POST PICS!

white or someone (space-dweller..think) posted an awesome light silver that looked terrific as well. Those are the only two I would consider...and yes...I dig the Roman's. :)

Hi Bill. My 'old' DD.
Make sure you get a roman dial with the numerals 5 - 8 the 'correct' way up.

Hi Bill, a week or so ago I fitted a cream Roman Dial to my DD for exactly the same reasons as you state. I liked the look of the champange dial a lot but itis quite hard to read - personally I found the cream dial easy to read and still quite subtle (and it compliments the yellow golg IMHO). No good pics of it in the watch but here's the dial: PS - I don't know if your current dial is a tritium or Luminova but if it's tritium and you take it to an RSC then it will come out with S/Luminova dial. Keep us posted, - Neil. PS - sorry Eddie, I prefer the 'upside down' markers! :)

Bo, Is that what Rolex calls a Silver Dial or Light Champange Dial. I ordered the White Dial with the Bold Stick Markers, but might change for one like yours. Bill

Bo, I have the 118238 Model M SN. I have just called and changed my ordered dial to the Silver like yours! Glad I talked to you early enough to change the order. That is really a stunning watch you have there. Bill
