Rolex Sea Dweller 16600 - Shall I?

Hi guys

This is my first post, but I've been browsing for a while. I have a question for you knowledgeable lot.

I currently have a DateJust 116200 which I'm looking to trade in (looks great with a suit but not great with other, more informal attire). Anyway, I have been taken in by the Sub 14060M and also the Sea Dweller 16600. It'll be an upgrade in terms of cost I know! At the moment the Sea Dweller is looking the favourite, my only concern is the SD's slightly bigger size than the Sub. I have 17cm wrist (about 6.75 inch), I dont particularly mind the extra weight/bulky aspect but I dont want it to look too big.

So my question is, do you guys think that the SD would look too big on my size wrist?

Thanks in advance!!

Paul

Well Paul there is not a huge difference subs weight 135g, SD 147g, case thickness the sub is 13mm deep the SD 14.65mm deep.

My wrist size is 6.75" (winter) to 7" (summer). I spent months trying on the 16600 SD 4000 verses 16610LV. Chose the LV in the end due to my old eyes needing more lume.

Still dream of the Dweller, great watch, and great fit on a 6.75-7" wrist imo.

Thanks guys. Yep, I think it's going have to be the SD then. I think I can get a good used one for around £4500, I've been told Ill get about £2500 for my 2011 DateJust. I'll keep you posted on how I get on.

Thanks again.

My favorite Sports model ...

... The Sea Dweller 16600 is an AWESOME watch. If you like a model with all the Best in Rolex History and development. But I would get one very soon as everyone is realizing they don't make this model any more and the prices are creeping north. I say Go For It -Ron

SD great watch. Both the Sub and SD are 40mm. I think the dial on the SD is smaller than the Sub. The bezel on the SD is larger than the Sub bezel.
Am I right?

The SD will look great. I really enjoy the top-heavy/thicker aspect of the 16600. Great piece!

Not sure about the bezel size but I know the SD is a bit thicker and doesn't sit as flat on the wrist. Best -Ron

What he said. The size/weight difference is negligible in my opinion.

Yes dial is 1mm smaller in diameter but bezel is 1mm wider.

An incredible watch. Tough, tough, tough, and rich with a rich history.

IMO, its the ultimate, and best Dive watch ever made.

SD, I love it. Size is negligible. Having worn a PO for a few years the SD feels very light. I now want a DS.
